Fighting for Fair Warranties

Canal Boaters for Change is a was born from real experience — and real frustration. After purchasing a new boat in 2021 and facing unresolved paint and build quality issues, I quickly realised I wasn't alone. Too many boat owners are left with poor aftercare, short warranties, and a system that favours the builder, not the buyer. This project exists to push for longer warranty standards, better accountability, and a culture where boat owners are respected, not ignored. It's time we raised the bar — for quality, service, and pride in the boating industry. 12 months is not long enough and with a lot of conversations we are on the brink of getting one builder to take the plunge and offer 3 years! They will become market leaders and start to bring the industry into 2025.
